Competence. Comfort. Community.

JOSH ROGOFF, DMD

Dr. Rogoff comes from a long line of dentists, so one can say it’s in his blood. He has a passion for dentistry and is constantly striving for excellence in his field through conscientious study, attention to detail, and a rigorous work ethic. Honesty and integrity are attributes he feels are of extreme importance when caring for others and throughout all aspects of life.

When not in the office he is often perfecting his skills at the Spear Institute, one of the world’s premier centers for dental education. At Spear he has had the opportunity to share his complex cases with some of the most recognized and highest functioning dentists in the world, often winning their praise. Dentists are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education annually. Dr. Rogoff completes over 150 hours annually. Dr. Rogoff’s dedication to education has recently been recognized. He has been asked to return to Spear as visiting faculty where he will be mentoring other dentists in the pursuit of excellence in dentistry.

Dr Rogoff is also proud to be the leader of the Santa Fe Spear Study Club. Spear study clubs are designed to help dentists become more comfortable, confident, and competent in practicing dentistry. They meet once a month to share and discuss the most current literature and cutting edge techniques to ensure they are delivering the highest level of care possible.

Clear communication is the key to successful dental relationships. Dr. Rogoff will take as much time as necessary to examine, diagnose, and explain treatment options. Instead of taking a “one size fits all” approach, Dr. Rogoff will tailor a treatment plan to your particular wants, needs, and budget.

Dr. Rogoff also relishes the outdoors, so making his home in Santa Fe has been a great pleasure. He enjoys mountain biking, snow sports, and scenic drives with his wife and daughters. He looks forward to getting to know you and welcoming you to our family.

LESLIE LAKIND (Retired)

Dr. Leslie Lakind founded the Lakind Dental Group in 1979, after serving 3 years with the National Health Service Corp at La Clínica de la Gente, in Agua Fría Village, working with Santa Fe’s underprivileged population.

Dr. Lakind followed his father and older brother’s footsteps into the family profession and attended Temple University School of Dentistry, as they had. He graduated in 1976.

Before attending dental school, Dr. Lakind taught elementary school for three years in Harlem, in New York City.

While in practice, Dr. Lakind founded and was the past president of the New Mexico Chapter of the Richard Tucker Study Club, an organization dedicated to the propagation of clinical excellence in cast gold dentistry through mentorship. Having achieved much success with this model, he went on to form the Northern New Mexico Aesthetic Academy.

Dr. Lakind was a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (a holistic dental association), the Frank Spear Study Club, the Santa Fe District Dental Society, the New Mexico Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He was a 25-year member of the Academy of General Dentistry and member of, and presenter for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

During his time in practice, he was a founding member of the Santa Fe Business Alliance, and the founder and leader of the Santa Fe branch of the Tikkun Community, an organization committed to bringing a spirit of justice and compassion to our everyday lives.

Now happily retired, Dr. Lakind is spending much of his time working on issues related to global warming and other civic projects. He is eternally grateful for being allowed to care for so many Santa Feans, and to Dr. Rogoff and the entire team for continuing the tradition of great dental care and community awareness.
